Over sixty Pacific Northwest colleges, Bible colleges, universities, and seminaries offer wide variety of academic degree programs to Christian leaders. For these men and women a bachelor's degree is almost always a pre-requisite for a position of leadership. And for many, a graduate degree is seen as an additional ingredient in preparation for growing responsibilities.

We offer this guide in order to direct you to graduate programs in ministry, Bible, theology, business administration, organizational leadership, management, public administration, and educational leadership. In addition, we've identified undergraduate programs that prepare people for ministry. Because some people have plenty of experience, but have not completed a four-year education program, we've noted a wide-variety of user-friendly degree completion programs. Many of these are programs offer degrees in organizational leadership and management.

All programs are offered in the five state region served by the Murdock Trust. We've also included two British Columbia schools that serve many students from the United States.

We have not included advanced degrees in counseling and social work, though both may be beneficial in ministry preparation. This guide, however, will make locating those programs easier.

Some colleges were not listed simply because they did not have degree programs that fit our criteria. In addition, we did not include such for-profit private schools of higher education such as University of Phoenix, City University, and Devry University.

Our purpose has been to provide the widest breadth of information possible regarding the many educational opportunities available to the Christian leader.
